Aztek custom

This is another Ed McGuiness-style custom using a Nightwing body. I took a JLU Aztek and clipped off the spikes and attached them to the smoothed-over Nightwing head. I next sculpted the shoulder-things and finished off the mask. The circular chest-piece is from the parts drawer and had to be glued and smoothed over with resin. The rest is gold, white and black paint.

Arisia custom

For Arisia, I used a JLA Vixen figure as the base and a Crisis Supergirl for the skirt piece. I sculpted the gloves, boots and ears and used resin to connect the skirt to body. A decal was used for the Green Lantern symbol. This piece will be featured in the "Made To Order" section of the April 2008 issue of Toyfare.

Brainiac custom

Brainiac was a commission piece where the client sent an Alex Ross Justice Brainiac head and a Plastic Man body. I looked through the parts box and found a great piece for the belt buckle. After shortening the neck, I glued the head on and smoothed over the seam with resin. I also used resin to build to boot tops and the collar.

Gabriel The Air Walker custom

I really liked how this guy came out and believe me, it took more than awhile to finish. I used a Marvel Legends Thor as the base and smoothed him over with resin + sculpted the gloves and sash. The boot straps, chest star and headpiece are cut vinyl as is the flaming 'cape'. Since he is the Air Walker, he needed a flying ML base.

Bloodwynd custom

This was a fairly easy JLU custom using a Green Lantern base with a Superman cape. I smoothed him over with resin and connected the cape to the body. The hood is cut vinyl and the chest jewel is a sticker I found.
